• Start from the flat "boomerang" shape RRURDLDU
  • Position it with the missing corner in the North-Wast position and with the South-West tile of "slash" type
  • For future reference number the tiles from 1 to 8 as follows:
    • tile 1 is the SE (South-East) tile
    • number the remaining tiles by traversing clockwise the sequence of adjacent tiles, i.e.
    • tiles 2 and 3 are the other two South tiles;
    • tile 4 is north of tile 3
    • tile 5 is the central tile of the boomerang shape
    • tiles 6 and 7 are the two northern tiles (from left to right)
    • tile 8 is north of tile 1.
  • Fold the shape as follows (x-y refers to the fold between tiles x and tile y):
    • 1-2: valley fold 90 degrees
    • 2-3: mountain 90 degrees
    • 3-4: mountain 90 degrees
    • 4-5: valley 90 degrees
    • 5-6: valley 180 degrees
    • 6-7: valley 90 degrees
    • 8-1: keep straight
  • Note: It helps if you first valley fold 180 degrees the two tiles 6 and 7
  • Rotate the newly formed flap into the final shape
